Gilson ‘Diego’ Snowboard

Gilson Snow Co. is a snowboard and ski manufacturing company based out of Winfield, Pennsylvania. I was delighted when they reached out to me to create a limited edition snowboard design inspired by the city of San Diego, CA. The snowboard is currently available for sale.

“Using Gilson's most versatile All-Mountain snowboard model we've teamed up with a San Diego local, Lucy Knowles, who showcased how unique San Diego is. Starting with the iconic Garibaldi fish around La Jolla Cove, where they can be seen everywhere. The OB between the palm trees is for the locals that enjoy a community filled with local surfers, breweries, and farmer's markets. Newport Ave is represented in the middle of the board. The graffiti-ed pillar holding up the famous Coronado bridge connecting to Coronado Island. The face on the mountain represents San Diego's Sunset Cliffs, a popular spot on the coastline where the city drops off into the ocean. You can often find faces carved into the side of the cliffs by the waves. Recognize the scene inside the beer bottle?

With Gilson's Soft Edge, Pow Channel and Central Flex design features, this board will allow you to explore further and have way more fun on the mountain. Cruise through the trees, butter your nose, drop a cliff, lick the snow on a full-out carve, send it off a kicker and then take a few turns with your crew.”
